What's happening @ Precise Shooter this week (4/2/16)
Welcome to the first store update in a long, long while!
Our move to Lynnwood took a very long time, but now we are proud to say that it has finally completed. It took a lot longer because we tried to maintain the
service while the move was in progress - we had to, because for one, stopping the flow of transfers was impractical, with our FFL available at almost every
But now the store is back to its full speed, and it is bigger and better than it ever was. So, welcome back!
We have a wall of rifles and cases and cases of handguns, 400 on the shelves, more in storage. But of course we also have our online inventory
where thousands of guns from country's biggest distributors can be special ordered - usually for a lot less than you can find elsewhere on the Internet, if you consider that we
won't charge you for shipping, transfer, or credit card use on out special orders.
Things to pay special attention to - we have KelTec KSGs in stock, along with a bunch of other hard to find KelTec guns...
...our Glock section is very, very big, and we sell our Glocks at MAP, which means that you can't find them advertised for less on the Internet, let alone locally.
The newest acquisitions - and the newest additions to the Glock family which are definitely worth considering - are Glock 17 and 19 MOS. Glocks are modern pistols,
and red dot sights fit them very naturally. See more about MOS here.
Also, ask us about Edge trigger kit for Glocks ($27.95 (in stock)) - it makes any Glock a pleasure to shoot at the range.
Of course, if you've been to our store before, you know that our collection of CZ guns is by far the biggest in the state, and one of the biggest in the country.
Specific guns to pay attention to are CZ 75 40th Anniversary edition - your collection is incomplete without it...
...and the super accurate CZ 75 Shadow Tactical II...
And of course you owe it to yourself to come and fondle the new Bren!
We have a large collection of Les Baer pistols...
...as well as the exquisite Freedom Arms revolvers. We are the only place in PNW where you can see - and even buy - the Single Shot!
We also have a bunch of small pistols - Ruger LCPs ($219.95 (in stock)), Shields in 9mm
($379.95 (special order)), Performance Center Shields in 40S&W ($449.95 (special order)),
and Beretta Nanos ((currently unavailable)).
Nanos in particular are a great deal, given that on top of our low price they come with $50 Beretta rebate which makes the package cost under $300. And these are Davidson's
guns - lifetime warranty!
And speaking of Beretta deals, if you are in the market for a 92, we have a very beautiful exquisitely engraved Anniversary edition in walnut case for only (currently unavailable).
Accessories and shooting supplies
There are a couple of new products that you want to consider.
First, the MagentoSpeed chronographs. They mount to the barrel and completely eliminate all the rigmarole of unwinding a chronograph on a shooting range, where the
area in front of the shooting position is usually inaccessible. We have them in two configurations - the budget sporter, and a cat's meow V3.
Second, the Lyman borescope. This product really hits home for me. I am a happy owner of a Hawkeye borescope, and I bought a camera it for it. Altogether it cost me
almost $1500 and I never regretted the money spent. If you are a serious gun collector, you simply cannot afford to not have one - it will save you untold amount of
Every firearm I buy is inspected with that Hawkeye before the purchase. Occasionally, I discover things that prevent me from
carrying new guns from certain manufacturers.
So when I discovered Lyman Digital Borecam which we could sell for a tiny fraction of the price - $259.99 (in stock) - I
was very intrigued. I immediately ordered a small number for inspection, and boy was I not disappointed!
This is a digital borescope only, unlike Hawkeye, there is no way to see anything with the naked eye, but the camera feed was superb - better than I can get with my
Hawkeye - at less than one fifth of the price!
In other news, we have considerably improved our supply of snap caps...
(check here to see if we have what you need)
...cases, sand bags and shooting rests (see links for inventory and pricing)...
...magazines (see here for full details)...
Our collection of holsters still sucks, but now it sucks a lot less than it did. We are going to be expanding it dramatically in the near future.
You can find the full list here.
If you are looking for a really nice benchrest scope, none exhibit a better price-performance than Sightron 36X42BRD ($435.95 (in stock)).
6MMBR gives it the "BEST BUY in a fixed-power target scope" rating. These scopes were so incredibly popular with benchrest shooters that
modifications were developed to lock the reticle once the adjustments were made. I own 5 of these myself, and I never regretted buying a single one.
A very similar scope to Sightron is Weaver T-36. ($599.95 (in stock)). Again, great reviews on 6MMBR.
Another scope to consider is Simmons 6-24x50 30mm Predator/Varmint scope ($199.95 (in stock)). Yes, the price is not a mistake, and yes, this is
a 30mm scope with SIDE FOCUS!
Another excellent buy in our optics section is Bushnell 6-18x50 Dusk and Dawn ($139.99 (in stock)). This is my personal favorite for non-benchrest
rifles, you will find a 24x version of this scope in almost all reviews in The Library - I own over ten of them myself. This scope is bright, clear, and
exceptionally reliable - one of the 10+ that I own died over the years, and Bushnell replaced it immediately.
Of course we also carry tons of Leupold scopes, UltraDot sights, and more. You will find the full list with prices in our Optics department.
Our collection of reloading equipment can only be challenged by Cabelas, and we have something that they don't carry - rare caliber dies, rare brass, and Dillon equipment. We also improved our
bullet collection considerable.
See our reloading section for full details.
Finding AR components was pretty difficult recently. However, I have recently ran into a very nice distributor that sells various small parts for a really good price - in fact, I have
a feeling is that this is the place where the lower parts kits manufacturers are sourcing their parts. As a result, we have almost every small part covered - all the small springs, pins,
washers, and so on - so if you have lost something, we are the best place to go in Seattle area.
We also have tons of barrels, a lot of furniture from Magpul and LaRue, and Anderson upper and lower receivers, lower parts kits without fire control group, Ruger triggers, and almost
everything else required to an AR-15 (one thing we do not have is 556 bolts, but they are en-route and should be here any day; the other thing we are missing is lower parts kits with fire
One excellent deal we have is Alexandria ProFab stripped lowers and complete uppers. These are the least expensive AR-10s (308) we've ever seen.
Complete list of what we have is here.
Last, but not least is ammunition. This is the area where we are exceptionally strong, and were getting even stronger recently: while we could not sell ammunition in Seattle,
we were buying as various distributor sales, a lot of which happened towards the end of last year. Now the prices everywhere else went up somewhat, but we still have
fantastic Christmas time deals available at our store.
Please keep in mind that though 22lr supply have loosened up a little bit recently, we still ration it: we sell up to 100 rounds per shooting family, per week. We sell bigger
packs and bricks to customers who buy rimfire guns, so they could test their new toys. This is the only way we can keep ammunition in stock, as we did not raise our prices in
response to shortages.
The only exception to this rule - there is no limit on Armscor and CCI Quiet ammunition.
You will find the real-time list of what we have with prices here.
