How to close a transaction involving firearms
THIS PAGE IS NOT READY YET.
Step 11: Multiple Handgun Disposition Form
The law obligates us to submit the multiple handgun disposition form to ATF whenever more than one handgun is sold
or transferred to a customer within 5 business days (the store's business days). This form helps you generate it.
Please note that a frame is NOT a handgun for the purpose of this form.
The software will look for handguns sold for this customer within the last 7 days, and if it finds them, it shows
them in the table at the bottom of the form. If you do not see the table at all, transactions with handguns in the
nearest past could not be found.
However, note that the guns from the current transaction are not reflected on this page (which makes it a little
bit confusing). You do need to know that if the total number of guns, this and the past transactions, is greater than one,
the form needs to be generated and faxed to ATF.
To include guns from earlier transactions, click the check box in the last column for that gun. The guns in the current
transaction are always automatically included.
