Chinese T56 SKS
Century have just imported a few T56 SKS rifles. They have excellent, like new, chrome-lined bores, the metal is in
various stages of wear (some have pitting on magazine, trigger group, and under the wood, but nothing anywhere where it would affect
function in the slightest), and the worst part are the stocks - the stocks need to be restored. Please take a look
here for how to do it.
However, if you are handy with wood or are going to replace stocks anyway, this is the opportunity to save a bundle.
Or, if you are a collector, this is an opportunity to grab a rare, older military version of Chinese SKS.
Chinese SKS rifles were not available in US in any quantities since they were banned in the early nineties, and are only
available in the secondary market where prices typically hover at around $350 - before shipping and transfer.
The ones in this shipment were made at Factory 26 (Jianshe Arsenal). All that we've seen so far were from before 1960, so
they are the original Type 56 "Sino-Soviet" model. They have the early blade bayonet (spike bayonet that you commonly see was
adopted in 1966). Receiver has only the factory 26 markings, no Chinese characters (these were added in 1963).
Note that some of them will have rust below wood on trigger assembly and/or the magazine. This does not affect functioning,
but the rust should be cleared anyway, because it may serve as a catalyst for more rust.

Pictures - this is one of the rifles we had in stock previously, not one of the two left.
