Armscor Precision (Rock Island Armory) 1911

Armscor pistols are great value - very inexpensive, but reliable and excellent quality, they can and do give twice more expensive 1911s a run for their money.

Note: all Armscor pistols have a lot of carbon in their barrels, and need to be thoroughly cleaned before shooting. This is how they ship from the factory - apparently they undergo very extensive live fire testing.

GI model

This is a basic, no-frills 1911 pistol. It has a parkerized finish, fixed sights, and comes with one magazine. Shoot it as is, or use it as a platform for future upgrades. The best feature is the price and the lack of major downsides - it is not flashy, but it is reliable and it works.

Tactical model

Tactical pistol has a number of improvements over the GI model. It adjustable trigger, ambidextrous safety, and of course the skeletonized hammer and trigger. Most important feature in my opinion are the Novak-style sights - this makes sights replacement very easy, as almost anyone is making aftermarket ones with Novak cut; the same cannot be said about GI model.

Tactical model II

Tactical II pistol is a a further improvement of this line of handguns. The trigger is amazing, the NOVAK-style rear sights are adjustable for windage and elevation, the front sight is fiber-optic, and the grips are nothing short of beautiful.
