Precise Shooter is looking for new location!
Dear friends,
As you know, Seattle City Council (which incidentally is up for reelection in November - please do not forget to vote, and
please remember that voter registration closes on October 5!) voted to tax firearms and ammunition dealers
$25 per firearm and 5c per round of ammunition (2c for 22 caliber or lower).
This tax takes effect on January 1st, 2016, and it makes operating a gun store inside city limits impossible. We cannot pass 25%-40% tax on our most popular items to customers,
and we can't pay this tax out of our roughly 10-15% profit margin.
With the help of Second Amendment Foundation, NSSF, and NRA we are suing Seattle, but it is unclear if the courts will have time to act
in time to save our Seattle location.
So we are looking for a place right outside the city to move our business until the tax is squashed in court, particularly north of the city (Shoreline, Bothell, Lynnwood), or
on the Eastside (Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland).
Our current location was pointed out by a friend and a customer, so we know from experience that crowdsourcing works. Find us a likely piece of rental real estate, and if we end
up in fact moving there, you will earn 2 years worth of free FFL transfers and firearms purchases at cost!
Rest assured that if we move, it will be temporary, and we will keep our location just above Greenlake ready for moving back the moment courts act. Seattle has a vibrant firearms
community, and next to no gun stores, so we will be back as soon as possible!
Yours truly,
Precise Shooter team
P. S. Please vote in November.
P. P. S. Pretty please, VOTE!
