CZ-82
CZ 82 is a Czech military pistol in 9x18 Makarov caliber.

Manufactured by the Czechoslovak firm Česká zbrojovka the vz. 82 replaced the 7.62x25mm Tokarev vz.
52 pistol in Czechoslovak military service in 1983. It is a compact, double-action, semi-automatic pistol
with a conventional blowback action. This type of action allows the barrel to remain solidly fixed to the
frame, resulting in improved accuracy over pistols with pivoting barrels (like the U.S. M1911 series). The
low bore axis of the vz. 82 provides for less muzzle rise and quicker follow-up shots. For added convenience,
both the frame-mounted thumb safety and the magazine release are ambidextrous. The vz. 82 was the first
service pistol to feature both these features. The bore is chrome plated, which gives it three advantages:
longer barrel life, resistance to rust from the use of corrosive ammunition, and ease of cleaning. Another
feature of this pistol is the use of polygonal rifling in the barrel bore. This replaces the traditional
lands and grooves rifling design with a rounded, smooth polygonal pattern which has a more "hills and valleys"
appearance.
9x18 Makarov
With the massive importation of firearms from former Communist Block countries the 9x18 Makarov round has become quite popular with the US shooters.
A wide variety of both US-made as well as modern Russian production ammunition is available, at the prices that are similar to 9mm Luger. For reloaders,
all die manufacturers make 9x18 Makarov dies, Starline makes the brass at prices similar to 9mm Luger brass, Berry makes the bullets, and there are variety
of loads in all popular manuals.
Ballistically the round is more powerful than 380 ACP but less so than 9mm Luger, although a few modern loads do approach the performance of the later.

Our pistols
We have five in stock. They are rated by the importer as Good, but they are on the very high end of "good". In the past I have bought ones
rated Very Good with hand select, and they were in worse condition that this current shipment. The bores are excellent. The exterior
exhibits light wear around the edges. Grips are like new.
All have amazing, crisp triggers, with 4.5-5lb single action pull, and the unique short stroke double action pull that is characteristic of the CZ pistols.
They come with two magazines and a holster. The holsters are fair to good condition. One is torn (I will give $10 discount for this pistol).
